About Me
Writing an "About page" is painful. What do people want to know? What am I comfortable with sharing? Uggggg!

*sigh* Let's give this a try. I have been a teacher for a little over 20 years. I've taught in public, charter, and community college and grades K-8. I can't imagine doing anything more rewarding, or more exhausting!

Currently I am a Migrant Education Program Teacher and ELL coach. I work on several different campuses in Union Parish.
I have two "grown" children, Zak and Alex and a teenage step-son Tytus. After my boys' father died I remained unmarried for 13 years, then I met my wonderful husband, Seth. We've been together eleven years, and married 8. We live with a Great Dane, EOS, an English Mastiff, Selene, and three cats: Enigma, Dr. Who, and Tigerlily. Alex and Tytus are currently unmarried, but Zak married his high school sweetheart, Hannah.

When I'm not doing research, writing a grant, taking graduate classes, or working on a Fellowship, I like to garden. I have several greenhouses that I spend most of my time in during the early spring. Then, I spend a lot of time in my yard.
